The Collias Hermitage (11.5 km - 3 hours) - This shady family walk will lead you to Notre-Dame de Laval Chapel. For the more athletic, it is possible to continue on a loop and descend to the Torte path, the former road to Nimes, which offers beautiful panoramic views.

Cross the Collias bridge and follow signs towards Cabrières-Nîmes, then turn left at the first road. Follow the road along the Gardon River and pass a few villas. Here the walk is signposted.
Take the wide sandy path along the Combe de l'Ermitage. Along the way, you will see closed or inaccessible caves, most of which were occupied in Prehistoric times.
At the entrance to the site, pass under the stone arch and climb up to the chapel. Opposite the altar, climb up the small path on the left. Leave the stone cross on the right and climb the limestone steps that lead to the garrigue.
Turn left and continue straight ahead to Mas de Laval.
Take the road on the right that passes through the fields. Cross the D3 and take the path on the right. Follow the fence and turn right at the end of it. Take the winding and rock DFCI B54 trail that is signposted with Vers stone markers, leading to the village.
At the hamlet of "La Torte", take the path on the left that leads to the bridge.
