Saint-etienne-du-bois - the Old Cross Trail

Depart from the town of Saint-Étienne-du-Bois, latitude 46.8349200 (N 46° 50’ 6”), longitude -1.5949800 (W 1° 35’ 42”)

• Departure and arrival at the old Cross

• Departure from the village on the D94 at the Old Cross, take the path that leads to the Villegaie and run straight. After Villegaie, at the branch line take the right path.

• In the countryside

• When arriving on the road, take a left and then the right path (large straight).

• The Grolle

• At the crossroads, take a right and go straight. Cross the small road leaving the Grolle on your right.

• Rochequairie

• Arriving at the road take a right and then the 1st path to the left. Arriving on the D94 continue 300 m and then take the road to the right towards the Fradelière.Note: the house of Rochequairie (private property) was erected in 1607 by the Thévenin de la Guyonnière, who became count allied with powerful families like the Clérembault or the Robineau. The mansion was deserted in 1722 and entrusted to general farmers in 1740.

• The Fradelière

• Continue straight and after 800 m take the 1st road right and back to the old cross. At the Fradelière small megalithic bridge against below

• Back to the old cross
