A hike in the heart of the town of La Couvertoirade, where you will discover a landscape caussenard, vestiges of the past (rock shelters, cazelles dry stone walls and enclosures, caussenardes farms with their traditional architecture), a kind present throughout the circuit (vultures and sheep on the plateau), a flora from May explode on the lawns of Larzac!

The greenhouses of Blaquererie (greenhouse meaning summit mound in Occitan) are one of the high points of the Causse du Larzac (910 m) behind the village Blaquererie. They consist of calcareous grasslands and rock dolomite with moors boxwood (sheep path), paths and walking trails. This place, overlooking the Dourbie Valley is easily accessible from the road leading to the hamlet of La Salvetat. Site of great landscape importance. A wide variety of insects is observed there (especially butterflies) and steppe birds, orchids and carlines or Cardabelles, Larzac symbols.

The conservation of biological interest of the area depends on the maintenance of sheep grazing still present. The area is little used except by a few hikers (not signposted route).
