This loop will introduce you to Saint-Denis-le-Thiboult, a charming village on the Crevon. You can pair it with loop 2 "In the Land of Emma Bovary." This walk is suitable for the whole family: from the forest and then from the plain with animals to discover as well as the village of Saint-Denis-le-Thiboult and all its heritage riches. To see during the walk: Church of the 11th and 13th centuries. Interesting statuary including several classified As Historic Monument. 11th century baptismal funds. Saint Laurian Chapel (private): a pink brick funerary chapel built around 1810 in the 18th century style. Slate dome and arrow. Classified as a Historic Monument in 1992. Mill (private): beautiful 18th century building harmoniously redesigned in 1811. The paddle wheel was removed around 1920. It then became an ice loaf factory and a sawmill (more active today). Feudal Motte: Remains overlooking the village square. Remains of a perimeter wall visible near the church. Henry I, Duke of Normandy, died there in 1135.
