From Place de l'Eglise in Verzeille, take the one-way street leading to the village of Ladern. Turn right towards the southern exit of the village along the line of plane trees. Pass the holiday village. Cross the D104 and take the small path to the ford over the Lauquet. Then follow the indications below.
Cross the ford over the Lauquet River, then take the path past the vineyards to the Pomas road. Cross the Pomas road. Take the path that winds through the vineyard. The path that follows the Lauquet River to Saint-Hilaire. Visit the village and be sure to visit Saint-Hilaire Abbey. If you wish, stop off at the small restaurant facing the abbey: discover the local produce at the grocery shop near the chemists. Return to Verzeille via the same route in the opposite direction.
