The verdant, hilly Buttes-Chaumont Park in Paris' 19th arrondissement, near the Metro station of the same name, is a magnificent garden of around 25 hectares, whose romantic charm can't fail to seduce couples and lovers of picturesque walks… While it is one of Paris' biggest parks, it's also one of the most original, with its impressive slopes, grottos, big waterfall and suspended footbridge. Its many ups and downs make it a destination of choice for many joggers, too!
On your walk, you can admire some beautiful tree varieties, many bird species, and superb panoramic views of the capital and the famous Montmartre hill. You can also wander by the lake and appreciate the charming landscape formed by this peaceful expanse of water and its craggy island, on top of which stands a bandstand named Temple of Sybil. Children's entertainment and some very nice refreshment stands complete the experience.
