The Morbras Park covers more than 12 hectares on the banks of the River Morbras, between Sucy-en-Brie and Ormesson-sur-Marne. This idyllic site in a wooded valley, a reminder of the area's rural past, has an amazing wealth of animal and plant life.
It offers as variety of landscapes, from meadows blooming with wild orchids, calcareous grasslands and their fruit tree plantations, undergrowth and wetter areas. Water lilies, reeds, yellow iris and other aquatic plants flourish at the many watering holes. A natural overgrown woodland area has been preserved to provide a habitat for small mammals, allowing visitors to catch occasional glimpses of hedgehogs, rabbits, foxes and squirrels. This remarkable biodiversity has led to the park being classified as a Sensitive Natural Area.
There are various facilities for children and adults to enjoy. Younger children will love the play areas with swings, slides and a climbing board. Older visitors can follow the nature or fitness trails. The GR 14 long-distance hiking trail also runs across the park.
