This famous 325-kilometre long tourist road also passes through a number of pretty towns and villages worth stopping at including, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence département, Castellane, Digne-les-Bains and Sisteron, as well as beautiful natural sites like the Clue de Taulanne and Clue de Chabrières transverse valleys.
