Annonay is located north of the department, 15 minutes from the Rhone Valley. This is the largest city and most populated of the Ardèche.
This city is called also "the city of inventors" has a very strong story. The balloon is born with its two inventors Joseph and Etienne Montgolfier, their nephew Marc Seguin is no exception either, born in Annonay, he created the cable suspension bridges of iron and tubular boiler.

Each year, many events are held in the city. The most important is probably " The art of flight " celebrating for a whole weekend the invention of " hot air balloon ". But do not forget the large market or the Gourmandises d'Ardèche which brings together many producers who enjoy the many delights Ardèche.
Moreover, the beginning of each year Annonay makes its festival with the "First Film Festival " which attracts every year more and more people.
