Baudrières, small country village, is located south of Burgundy, in the center of the triangle Chalon-sur-Saône - Louhans - Tournus.
The population increased slightly: from 778 inhabitants in the 1980s, she moved to 818 inhabitants in the last 1999 census. It is distributed throughout the territory of the municipality, namely the village and seven hamlets.
Farming village in the beginning, the number of operations has decreased significantly over time, but the agricultural area farmed has remained almost identical.
The business is dynamic through the shops and tourist accommodation. Three SMEs and craft enterprises are ten strengthen the economic fabric of the town.
The educational group with the municipalities of Saint-Vincent-en-Bresse Saint-André-en-Bresse contributed to the improvement of the school structure: the town is now home to three classes in a renovated school.
The associational activity is widespread: a dozen associations grouped in the Inter Association Committee, alone or participate collegially in numerous events which attract a large audience each time.
