Bétheny

Listed as a Historic Monument, the Saint-Sébastien church is a fine example of Romanesque architecture. Built in the 13th century, it was partly destroyed during the First World War before being rebuilt.

While strolling through the streets of the center, you can also see the town hall built in the 1920s, or the remains of a German prison camp from the Second World War discovered in 2013.

Opened in 2012 to follow the museum of the air base 112 of the local aeronautics, the museum of the local aeronautics of Bétheny now takes place near the town hall. It deals with the history of Air Base 112 Reims-Champagne, but also with the major world premieres that have taken place in the region. A discovery circuit allows you to learn more about Henri Farman's first city-to-city flight, the air war from 1914 to 1918 or the great Champagne aviation week which took place in 1909. Outside, visitors can admire a max Holste 1521 Broussard, a versatile reconnaissance and observation device.

To make the most of sunny days, the city is home to several green spaces, including the parks of the Château de Ruffy and Tourizet.

The weekly market is held every Wednesday morning.

The patronal feast takes place at the beginning of June with rides, parade of lanterns, balls or concerts.

In October, make way for the Arts en Pagaille festival with its many shows and workshops.
