Charming little village of Puy-de-Dôme, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, Biollet takes place about fifty kilometers from Clermont-Ferrand, in the heart of the country of Combrailles. It is located not far from Saint-Gervais-d'Auvergne and Miremont, on the edge of the Regional Natural Park of the Auvergne volcanoes.

Of ancient origin, the town has mainly developed over the centuries around its agricultural activities, still benefiting today from an important natural heritage, but also architectural, which attracts visitors keen on authenticity.

Things to see and do

Built in the 11th century, the Saint-Pierre church is the most beautiful architectural jewel of the village. Listed as a Historic Monument, it seduces with its mysterious capitals in a unique style in the region. Visitors can thus admire a Gaul, severed heads, a crazy dance or even kisses. Built on "the wave of Isis", the church would possibly reveal a link between Christianity and Egyptian mythology.

While strolling through the village, you can also see the Grande Gane washhouse before taking the various marked hiking trails allowing you to appreciate the Saint-Priest-des-Champs waterfall or the lake. of Fades-Besserve.
