Small Isère village, region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Bougé-Chambalud takes up to eighty kilometers from Grenoble, on the banks of Dolon. It is located near Chanas, Bellegarde-Poussieu and Jarcieu.

Elder territory Bougé-Chambalud has yet been officially erected in town until the early nineteenth century. Mainly focused arboriculture and market gardening, this city of the southeast of France is also appreciated for its rich architectural heritage and authenticity of its landscapes. Things to see and do

Built on the foundations of several Roman temples, the church of Bougé reveals a fine example of Lombard architecture with a late Romanesque style. The building also has a stone and a Roman tent and a beautiful triangular pediment.

Also full of interest, the Chambalud church reveals a Romanesque bell tower and hangers full and twelfth century warheads. It has long been known as a place of pilgrimage to St. Ennemond because an ointment made by the parish priest who was reputed to cure boils.

Walking through the town, be sure not to admire the remains of Thivolley, a former field early medieval part razed to the late eighteenth century, the Commandery of the Chal or Castle Gate built seventeenth and twentieth renovated by its current owners, the family Mountains Savasse.

You can also admire an English oak door over four centuries with its trunk over 5 m.
