Castets

The architectural and cultural heritage of Castets is small but does not lack interest. Visitors will discover with pleasure the Church of St. Bartholomew and St. Roch of Castets, all in hot stones. In ruins now, the smithy of Castets reflect the glorious past of the city.

Castets The market is held every Thursday from 8h to 13h.

Festivities of Castets take place from late July to early August each year. On this occasion, many activities are offered as a feria.

What's more, you can take advantage of up to 50% financial assistance from Côte Landes Nature for bike rentals, in partnership with local bike shops (E-Bike & Co, Brooks Bikes in Saint-Julien-en-Born, les Vélos d'Albret and la Cyclerie in Léon).

• Mai à vélo is an initiative designed to encourage the use of bicycles throughout the month of May, all over France. - From Biscarrosse to Léon by way of Mimizan, from Ychoux to Castets, for a stroll or for everyday commuting, cycling is a great way to get around ! - Our goal ? Élèves (APE) de Castets invites you to enjoy an afternoon of games with family and friends, in the Parc du Barrat. Open to all (children and adults) and free of charge ? - On the program : - From 2 pm to 6 pm : - - Games - - Giant Mikado - - Sack races - - Ski races on grass - - Free ephemeral tattoos for children - And throughout the afternoon, the candy challenge ? Estimate the number of sweets in the jar, and if you come closest to the exact number, you win the filled jar ! - Sale of homemade cakes and hot and cold drinks. Profits will be donated to the school cooperative to finance projects or equipment.
