Common Jura, in the Franche-Comté Champagnole has been dubbed the Pearl of Jura because of the beauty of its site and its heritage. It is at the foot of Mount Rivel, about 540 meters away.
In the heart of nature Jura, Champagnole is surrounded by impressive forests, which helped develop the timber through crafts or furniture making. Hiking as well as outdoor sports and are the main activities of the city, providing an ideal setting for family holidays or friends.
The rich architectural heritage of Champagnole contributes to the tourist attraction of the city, bringing a certain charm to the whole and recalling the past of the Jura city.
Religious heritage, natural, but also historical, are not lacking in Champagnole, and tourists enjoy spending a few moments in this city full of charm.
The church of Saint-Cyr-et-Sainte-Juliette Champagnole has an altar, an altar and an organ listed historical monument. Built in the eighteenth century, it offers in terms of objects from the Ursulines and Dominicans of Poligny, a nearby town.
The public clock tower and the water tower, built in the nineteenth century, are also classified as an historic monument, like the hall and the stairs of the City Hall.
Walking through the city, you can enjoy many relics of the industrial past and shopping Champagnole, like a flour mill, the forge of Serve, old mills and steel mills, old meubleries, or the old trinkets Bazinet.
Nineteenth century building, the station falls on the way to the tourist railway line Swallows. A single track, it connects the center of Dijon in Vallorbe and allows you to admire the landscapes of France-Comté.
The natural heritage is rich in Champagnole, including the presence of Mount Rivel that overlooks the city, the banks of the Ain ideal for a walk, the route of which is firs Champagnole the starting point, or the Belle Park Friesland.
The archaeological museum offers collections came close surroundings of the city and showing the Gallo-Roman and Merovingian past of the region. Themed exhibitions and events are organized regularly.
Champagnole, Jura city, does not lack entertainment, and events are linked together throughout the year.
In June, following the music festival, Champagnole organizes the patron saint of the city, one of the largest carnivals in eastern France.
In July and August, the city offers the Summer Musical, with festivities in the streets of Champagnole as concerts and street performances.
Throughout the year, a market takes place on the Place Camille Prost, on Saturday morning. In early July, a night market is also available to visitors to enjoy local crafts and specialties of the region.

- The Tram'Jurassienne, the flagship sporting event of the Champagnole Nozeroy Jura region, is back for its 33rd edition this year ! - Open to all, this unique concept of a "party ride" offers an invigorating way to discover the region and its unique landscapes, thanks to the different routes on offer : 3 walking routes (16,21 and 26 kilometres), 3 mountain bike routes (37,57 and 77 kilometres) and 2 "Handi'Tram" routes (3 and 5 kilometres). New to the programme this year : 2 trail routes (21 and 31 kilometres) !
