Small village of the Sarthe in Pays de la Loire, Chenu takes place about sixty kilometers from Le Mans and its race track, in the heart of Maine Anjou. It is located about thirty kilometers from Tours, not far from Château-du-Loir.
The presence of the town is attested from the eighth century under the name Catnutus. At the time of the old regime, this village mainly agricultural and cattle then depended on the Seneschal of La Fleche before taking its independence thereafter. Full of charm, Chaunu continues to attract visitors with its authentic and unspoilt landscapes and its quiet atmosphere.
In the heart of a very tourist area, it has itself an interesting architectural heritage to discover during a stay there.
