Ferrières-en-Brie is a town in Seine-et-Marne region located in Île-de-France. It is placed at about thirty kilometers from Paris, on the plateau of the Brie and the canton of Ozoir-la-Ferriere. Located between the valleys of the Seine and Marne, the town is also adjacent to Ferrières-en-Brie Bussy-Saint-Georges.
The original village dates back to the twelfth century, it was named after former ironworks once installed on the site. Quiet and pleasant, the current city is best known today for its castle that is passed into the hands as famous as those of Fouche or the Rothschild family.
