Gleizé

While strolling through Gleizé, you can discover beautiful residences testifying to the wealth of the city over the centuries, like the Château Montfleury, the Château de Saint-Fonds or the Château de Vaurenard. Built in the 18th century, the latter seduces with its park, its furniture and its 18th century tapestries.

Offered by a Japanese artist to the inhabitants of the town, a bronze statue of Miyamoto Musashi, an undefeated samurai from the 17th century, sits in front of the main façade of the Lyon-Japan-Japon-France Memorial.

The Conscripts Day takes place every year on the second weekend of March.

Concerts are organized in June on the occasion of the Fête de la Musique.

Fireworks and a musette ball take place in the city on July 14 to celebrate the national holiday.

Every third Friday in November, the town hosts the Fête des Saveurs to celebrate the arrival of Beaujolais Nouveau.
