Small town of Bas-Rhin, in East Grand region Hochfelden takes place about thirty kilometers from Strasbourg and its famous cathedral. It is also located near Brumath Haguenau Lixhausen.
Old, the village is mentioned for the first time in the ninth century by a deed of gift from the town to the abbey of Wissembourg. Over the centuries, Hochfelden developed, taking little by little the true face and charming that he is today. The Alsatian city is illustrated in particular in 1941 with organizing a procession celebrating July 14 despite the German occupation, which caused the internment camp of several opponents of the Nazi regime.
Today Hochfelden continues to attract passing visitors as much by its architectural heritage by the presence of older site malting France, Brasserie Meteor, created in 1640.
