Houilles

Inscribed in the general inventory of cultural heritage, the church of Saint-Nicolas was built in the nineteenth century. It deserves a detour, as is the secondary house of Victor Schoelcher, fervent defender of the abolition of slavery, died in the commune. It is also part of the general inventory of cultural heritage, it is now owned by the commune of Houilles.

Close to the forest of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Houilles offers many opportunities for outdoor outings and has a large number of sports activities.

The international walking Houilles bullfight is held the last Sunday of the year. This is a marathon ten kilometers.

Every two years, in even years, Houilles organizes the Biennial of young artists. The event takes place in March and highlights the talents of emerging artists.

In the summer, Houilles beach is the scene of various festive activities.
