The commune of Houilles is located in the heart of the Île-de-France, in the department of Yvelines. It takes place seven kilometers from Paris, near Saint-Germain-en-Laye and its forest, and La Défense. Limitrophe of Val-d'Oise and the Hauts-de-Seine, it benefits from the proximity of one of the loops of the Seine.
Originally an agricultural village and hunting ground for French sovereigns, Houilles became a town during the 19th century, notably thanks to the arrival of the railway. Completely renovated in the 1950s, it gradually becomes an important residential suburb of the Paris region.
In addition to its convenient and ideal geographical location, the commune of Houilles also has an interesting architectural heritage and pleasant green areas for family walks or outdoor activities.
