Things to see and do

Old village where stone reigns supreme, Joucas presents its visitors with beautiful buildings.

The Church of St. John the Baptist, which dates from the late eighteenth century, houses beautiful paintings in trompe l'oeil and an impressive arcade belfry. Not far away, the oratory of the Immaculate Conception, the eighteenth century also allows us to appreciate a pyramid roof.

Walking through the cobbled pedestrian streets of Joucas, visitors admire the former hospital commander, private property, the Gallo-Roman ruins of the Notre-Dame district, or an oil mill, fountains and a washhouse.

Joucas is also the famous passage of GR6, a hiking trail that goes from Sainte-Foy-la-Grande, in Gironde, Saint-Paul-sur-Ubaye in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.

Events and festivities

A fair is organized in December.
