Charming town of Alpes-Maritimes, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, La Roquette-sur-Siagne takes place about thirty kilometers from Nice and its famous Promenade des Anglais. Between sea and mountains, it is located not far from Cannes and Grasse, famous world perfume capital.
Former castrum created in the course of the eleventh century and then given to the monks of Lerins, La Roquette-sur-Siagne develops in the Middle Ages, including the creation of the priory in the twelfth century that the first sedentary inhabitants. Strongly affected by epidemics and looting over the centuries, including the town is under attack by men of the Count of Provence in the late fourteenth century. officially founded in the seventeenth century, today it continues to charm visitors with its unusual architecture and its proximity to some of the most beautiful cities in the region.
