- Its location:
- Located on the mythical National 7, 20 km north of Aix-en-Provence, the town of Lambesc is nestled in lush greenery, surrounded by hills, pines and holm oaks.
- Its privileged position in the heart of the Pays d'Aix and Provence makes it a destination of choice for the tourist discovery of the whole region (Luberon, Alpilles, Camargue, Marseille...).
- Its history:
- Its history is ancient: sites of Roman and Gallo-Roman dwellings in the town prove the presence of the Celto-Ligurians in this region.
- In the Middle Ages, a castle was built on a promontory and the village was surrounded by ramparts.
- Until the 18th century, many noble families in Provence succeeded each other as Lords of Lambesc, notably the Lorraine de Guise family. In 1453, King René, Duke of Anjou and Lorraine, Count of Provence, bought the seigneury of Lambesc. It is since this year that the town has been endowed with the coat of arms "d'Azur à la Croix de Lorraine d'or".
- The "little Versailles of Aix": Under the reigns of Louis XIV, Louis XV and Louis XVI, the city was the place where the General Assemblies of the Communities of the Pays de Provence sat for 140 years. Many monuments bear witness to this glorious era and are still visible in the village, such as the parish church of Notre-Dame de l'Assomption, as well as all the mansions visible in the historic center.
- In 1909, an earthquake of magnitude 6.2 on the Richter scale destroyed many houses in the city center and caused great damage throughout the region. There are 46 dead and 400 injured.

- All year round, a Provençal market takes place on Fridays in the Place des Etats-Généraux; a peasant and local market is also held every Tuesday afternoon on the same square, under the hall.
