With a population of more than 9,000, the Passage commune is located in the Lot-et-Garonne department of New Aquitaine. Located in the agglomeration of Agen, it takes place on the banks of the Garonne, in the heart of ancient Gascony.

Composed of two districts before the French Revolution in the late eighteenth century, the Passage is reunited and separated from Agen in 1795. Things to see and do

Walking through the city, you will appreciate the charm of the churches of Dolmayrac and Sainte-Jehanne-de-France, as well as the Notre-Dame-de-Beauregard monastery, which has been welcoming a community of Carmelites since the late 1970s. The first, built in the eighth century, takes place on an ancient site. High-age sarcophagi were discovered during the 19th century.

You can also admire the footbridge on the Garonne between Agen and Le Passage, the laundry of Dolmayrac, or the farm of Estrades.

The places of the Republic, Sainte-Jehanne-de-France, and the college of Théophile, are also important places of life of the city.

The racecourse of Agen is held at the Passage and is the scene of many horse races.

Events and festivities

The market is held on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, as well as on Friday afternoons. A Christmas market is proposed in December.

In May, Ganet celebrations with concerts, exhibitions, and gourmet market.

The festival of youth and civic engagement, Rock'Alibi is held in May. On the program, a village of engagement, concerts, shows for the youngest.

Every Friday between July and August, the Estivales de la Passerelle is an opportunity to attend lively evenings. A Republican banquet is also proposed on July 13 to celebrate the National Day.
