Located in the heart of the eponymous wood, on the territory of Plessis-Robinson, the castle of La Solitude is now in ruins. A former neo-Gothic residence built at the beginning of the 20th century for Marie-Philiberte Marquis, heir to a great chocolate dynasty, it was transformed into a private clinic a few years later. Carmelite convent between 1937 and 1956, it later became a technical college for young single mothers.
Since its closure in 1976, the Château de La Solitude has been completely abandoned. Now installed in the heart of a park open to the public, it remains visible to visitors from the outside.
