A charming little town in Doubs, in the Burgundy-Franche-Comté region, Le Russey takes place in the heart of the Doubs Horloger Regional Natural Park. It is located about sixty kilometers from Besançon, not far from Bonnetage, Narbief or Frambouhans.
Mainly an agricultural and forestry commune, Le Russey has long been known for its cattle breeding activity, and particularly Montbéliarde dairy cows.
The history of this Franche-Comté city has been very turbulent over the centuries, notably with the massacres of 1476 by the troops of Charles the Bold or the various plague epidemics and the destruction of the Ten Years' War.
Today, Le Russey continues to attract visitors with the richness of its landscapes and its peaceful and authentic side.
