Located in the heart of Côtes-d'Armor, in Brittany, the municipality of Louargat takes place about fifty kilometers from Saint-Brieuc, not far from Pédernec, Trégrom and Tréglamus.
Occupied by the Hospitallers of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem who founded the local church, the municipality of Louargat particularly distinguished itself in the 18th century during the chouannerie. On August 30, 1799, the city was indeed the scene of the terrible fight of Louargat which saw the capture of the town by the troops of the Republicans. Today peaceful, passing visitors will not fail to discover the charms of its traditional architecture.
