Lussan

Strolling in the village of Lussan, you will find many sites listed or classified historic monument like the sixteenth century Fan Castle that belonged to the family of Andre Gide, a fifteenth of the castle or even the remains of the ancient castle from the twelfth to Orchard.

Be sure not to admire the menhir of Lèque, also nicknamed planted Peter. At a height of over 5.5 meters, it is one of the most imposing of all Languedoc, which has earned its ranking Historical Monument.

Through the narrow streets of the village, you can admire stunning views of the Cevennes, Mont Ventoux or the famous Monts d'Ardèche.

Do not miss either the Concluses of Lussan located five kilometers from the town. Dominated by impressive cliffs, they are accessible only on foot via marked paths.

The votive festival is held at the end of July with the program a boules competition, concerts and lively meal.

In early August, up to the night market with local producers and musical entertainment.

In early August, the town also offers the festival Entre Ciel et Garrigue including concerts, theater or operetta.

The book festival, is Lussan Book, meanwhile stands at the end of August.
