Commune francilienne located in the heart of the Seine-et-Marne, Ozoir-la-Ferrière takes place in Brie, in the arrondissement of Torcy. The old rural village is about thirty kilometers Melun, not far from Cesson, Roissy-en-Brie or Pontault-Combault.
Known since the ninth century, the town was known at the time as the Oratory and was the home of a church frequented by neighboring loggers a century later. Owned by the archbishop of Paris in the 17th century, she saw her forest become the royal property of Louis XV in the 18th century. It was not until the end of the Great War that Ozoir-la-Ferrière grew exponentially, seeing its number of inhabitants grow constantly over the years.
Nowadays orientated towards industry and commerce, the city of Ozoir-la-Ferrière benefits from its proximity to the forest of Armainvilliers and with the greatest tourist sites of Seine-et-Marne.
