Eighth most populous city of Ille-et-Vilaine, Pacé takes place in the heart of Brittany, within Rennes Métropole. Located on the Flûme, it borders Parthenay-de-Bretagne, L'Hermitage and Vezin-le-Coquet.
A well-known Breton city from the beginning of the 12th century, Pacé was illustrated in the 18th century during the French Revolution by organizing uprisings linked to the mass levy of several hundred thousand men by the National Convention. The confrontation, which saw the death of three National Guards, is today called the fight of Pacé.
More peaceful, the city of Pacé is today known for its architectural heritage, as well as for its tourist activity. Different monuments allow us to trace centuries of history in this part of Brittany.
