Pont-Saint-Martin

Tourism, holidays & weekends guide in the Loire-Atlantique

Town in Loire-Atlantique in Pays de la Loire, Pont-Saint-Martin takes place about twenty kilometers from Nantes. It is located in Retz, close to Bouguenais, Rezé and Vertou.

Developed from the Gallo-Roman, as evidenced by the remains found there, the territory of Pont-Saint-Martin develops over the centuries, gradually taking its present appearance. Heavily affected during the wars of Vendee, in the eighteenth century, the town has also experienced a breakup in 1865 to see the creation of Sorinières.

Dynamic culturally and economically, especially with the production of Muscadet, Pont-Saint-Martin attracts visitors passing through its rich historical heritage but also by its charm and its proximity to some of the most beautiful sites in the region.
