Property of the Regional Council of Brittany, the mansion of Courcy takes place in the heart of the city of Rennes. Listed historical monument for its facades, its roofs, its internal staircase with cage and its four rooms with gypserie decor, it was built in the first half of the nineteenth century under the name of Hotel Richelot, according to its owner then architect of the city.
Neoclassical in style, it was ceded to the state in the 1950s for the installation of administrative services. Built in coated shale rubble, it reveals a ground floor with a Doric peristyle and a loggia on the floor of ionic order.
Restored in the 1980s, the building sees the construction of a Hall of Assemblies in 1986 with a fountain-wall of water and a sculpture of Marta Pan. The Courcy hotel is now home to the regional hemicycle, as well as the office and reception room of the president of the Brittany region.
