Located in the department of Hautes-Alpes, Saint-Chaffrey is one of the four villages of the resort of Serre Chevalier Vallée. Composed of the villages of Saint-Chaffrey, Chantemerle, Villard-Laté and La Gerarde, the town is bordering Briançon. It is located at 1365 meters above sea level in the valley of Guisane.
