Located a few kilometers from Tours, in the Indre-et-Loire, the town of Saint-Genouph is a small flower village of a thousand inhabitants. It takes place near La Riche and Villandry, on the axis of discovery of the Loire Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Peaceful village of countryside, Saint-Genouph has not less known the vicissitudes of history over the centuries. Occupied since the Bronze Age, the territory takes its final name in the Gallo-Roman era. After suffering the horrors of the Battle of Poitiers, the plague or the Norman invasion, the town finally prosperous with the installation of King Louis XI at the castle of Plessis. After several centuries of turpitude related to the Thirty Years' War, or epidemics, Saint-Genouph has gradually found its cruising speed to become the charming town that we know today.
