Located in the municipality of Saint-Georges-Buttavent, in Mayenne, the Abbey of Fontaine-Daniel is a religious building built at the beginning of the thirteenth century by the lord of the moment, Juhel III of Mayenne.
Destroyed during the French Revolution, the building was at the time of the same scale as the current Cathedral of Le Mans. At the beginning of the 19th century, the various places were used by entrepreneurs for their weaving and spinning plants. Even today, the company Les Toiles de Mayenne offers quality products such as decorative fabrics or tailoring.
