Installed on the Pierre du Jardin, near the island of Cézembre, at Saint-Malo, the Grand Jardin lighthouse was built in the second half of the 19th century. Its architecture is inspired by that of Eddystone's third lighthouse, with a flared base with a concave profile.
Listed as a Historic Monument, it was partly rebuilt in the second half of the 20th century following the bombings of the Second World War. Automated in 1982, it measures more than thirty meters in height and reveals at the top a very beautiful bas-relief representing Neptune produced by Francis Pellerin. Unfortunately, it is only accessible to the public outdoors.
