Villeneuve-lès-Béziers

Villeneuve-lès-Béziers has an important architectural heritage and rich in historical value.

The Church of St. Stephen was built in the tenth century. Over the centuries, especially during the wars of religion, it has experienced widespread looting and other fires. It now has a nave dating from the seventeenth century and a bell inscribed the Historical Monuments directory.

Last vestige of the former castle of the lords of Villeneuve-lès-Béziers, Castle tower survived the fire ordered by Louis XIII. Despite reconstruction during the religious wars, the castle was finally destroyed in the early twentieth century.

Remains of an ancient aqueduct, the Arcades are revealed today in the eyes of visitors. In the city center, one can also enjoy the remains of the priory Thounieux which are in the form of old porches.

Also in July, the Latin festival is the opportunity to attend introductions to salsa and various concerts.

Etienne Arnaud directed over 100 films. - Musicians from the Conservatoire's jazz and contemporary music department will accompany some of his saved films. - To open the evening, students from Béziers IUT will screen a film on the life of the filmmaker. - The Conservatoire's current groups welcome the public from 7pm. - Catering available on site. - Free admission.

• Make a bioplastic and a mold, and learn about the scientific concepts involved, such as the differences between plastics and bioplastics, polymers, the life cycle of plastics and bioplastics, and recycling. This will be followed by an ecology lesson.
