Nicknamed Dodo as a reference to the large, extinct native bird that appears on its label, Bourbon is the most popular beer on Réunion. Produced by the Bourbon Breweries since 1962, this famous beverage is an integral part of the history and landscape of Réunion. Inseparable from its famous Creole slogan "La dodo lé la", meaning "The dodo is here", which you can see on the walls of many small traditional shops, Bourbon beer is available in blonde, white and red versions.
