A Gascon speciality, Floc – meaning bouquet of flowers in Occitan – is a sweet aperitif made of two-thirds fresh grape must and one-third young Armagnac. Benefiting from an Appellation of Controlled Origin, this Armagnac liqueur wine is available in white Floc de Gascogne and rosé Floc de Gascogne varieties. Its production area covers 780 hectares, the same as Armagnac, and spans three departments, mainly Gers and then Landes and Lot-et-Garonne.
Served chilled as an aperitif, Floc de Gascogne is also wonderful served with dishes such as poultry, foie gras, pastries, fruit salads, ice creams and Lectoure melon.
