Produced in the Coteaux du Loir wine region in the communes of Lhomme and Ruillé-sur-Loir, Jasnières is a dry, fruity, white AOC wine made from the Chenin Blanc grape variety. Famed for its finesse and elegance, Jasnières goes well with white meat, poultry, fish and seafood. It is an ingredient in the famous Sarthe hotpot, a recipe made with regional produce – created by the Association of 19 Great Sarthe Restaurants - including Loué free-range chicken, rabbit, ham, cream, vegetables and of course Jasnières white wine.
Be sure to visit the Museum of the Vine in Lhomme, to find out everything about the wines of Jasnières and Coteaux du Loir, and learn more about the wine and cooperage trades.
