On the way Baou Baou 100 meters after the bifurcation Saint-Jeannet, take the right path that leads to the top of Baou of Gaude; you can discover the big oak tree, several hundred years old and with a circumference of 6.7 m, an old barn and a castellaras at the top of Bau, fortified and witness of life Ligurian ancestors (follow the yellow signs for explore the northern wall). To return, take the same path as on the way.

Access

From the parking René Veyssi at the village entrance, take the stairs that lead you to the Rue du Vallon and then on the place Sainte-Barbe. Go straight into the village, and at the laundry, stand on the Place du Verger, and take the road of Bau and the path of Bau.

Itinerary

From the b2 tag, begin the ascent to the Baous. This part of the path offers a magnificent view of the village. Follow the main path of the tag to the b9 b3 tag. Now turn right. After a few bends, you are now on the board, recognizable by its pile of stone, result of stoning to win shepherds grazing areas. From the b10 tag, follow the yellow marking until Big Oak, whose age is estimated at about 600 years and whose circumference is 6.7 m. To the east, an old barn is still visible, probably dating from 1815 (see registration).

Keep on top of Bau, where you will find the Castellaras, a fortified Ligurian whose north walls and are respectively 50 m and 80 m long.

Return to the village by the same route.
