Boscherville Marsh

Depart from the town of Saint-Martin-de-Boscherville, latitude 49.4445800 (N 49° 26’ 40”), longitude 0.9623800 (E 0° 57’ 45”)

• Starting point: parking lot of the town hall of Saint Martin de Boscherville

• The starting totem pole is located in the parking lot of the town hall of Saint Martin de Boscherville, near the abbey. You must follow the blue markup (loop 15).
• Face the totem pole, go straight to the sports fields (you turn your back on the abbey). You are on the Saint Georges road, which you will follow for 2 km to the Seine. Along the way you will meet a Scottish cow farm, the Highlands.

• Point 2: towpath

• Turn right on the towpath. Cross the barrier and continue along the Seine. Then discover the waste trap and the marsh by following the educational trail. Pass a barrier again, then walk along the Henouville Recreation Base. At the end of this lane, turn right onto the Bertrand roadway.

• Point 3: Rue des Saules

• Before you arrive at the department, turn left onto Rue des Saules. Walk along the small cultivated plot and then take the small right path between the plot and the house. Carefully cross the department on your way to the left. Commit to the stalemate of the cast stone on the right. As you climb, enjoy views of the marshes and further on the Seine.

• Point 4: Entering the forest

• After the last house, you enter a forest trail. Follow it for about 250 meters before turning right. Continue on the path that goes up into the forest for 650 meters before encountering a fork at the level of a large oak, where you will find the GR. Continue on the path that leaves slightly to the right.

• Point 5: on the GR2

• Walk for 500 metres, cross the road and continue straight ahead. Another 800 metres away, you arrive in a clearing that forms a crossroads. Take the small path that goes down to your right. Continue your way for a mile. At the exit of the forest, you can admire the panorama of the abbey and the valley.

• Point 6: Stagecoach Road

• Cross the road towards the stagecoach path. A little further, cross the department and take the lane in front of you. Then turn left. Stay on the Mesnil road for 180 metres and then turn right to join the marsh discovery trail. At the first crossing, go straight ahead. At the end of the road, cross the fence and go straight down the tree-lined driveway.

• Point 7: exit from the marsh

• Return to the road and then, at the landfill gate, cut right into the grass on the path between the trees. Cross the parking lot to the Saint Georges roadway. Turn left towards the abbey, after 250 meters you find the parking lot of the town hall.
