Itinerary

1st stage of the walk: Crossing the village of Haselbourg which owes its circular form of the fact that the village was a Roman oppidum. You will see that the houses line up along a looped road, forming a higher promontory in the middle. It is an embankment of land called the rampart of the Romans. You can climb on this promontory on foot, the view is remarkable (mound classified Historical Monument in 1930). You will see on this hillock the statue of Christ the King measuring 5,5 m (12,10 m with the base). Other statues will be added: Saint Joseph and the child Jesus (1935) and the Virgin with the child (1938). The statue of Saint Francis of Assisi on the side of the hill was set up in 1930.

2nd stage: Crossing a field and entering a beautiful forest. After about ten minutes you will reach two magnificent views (two superb rocks) and you will be able to admire an exceptional view on the valley and the neighboring villages (Dabo, Schaeferhof and massif Vosgien).

3rd stage: You will take a small path to descend to the troglodyte houses that have been restored.
