Discovering old Lussac

Depart from the town of Lussac-les-Châteaux, latitude 46.4023200 (N 46° 24’ 8”), longitude 0.7248300 (E 0° 43’ 29”)

• Vestige of the ancient ramparts

• The Hotel du Commerce is located at the corner of the ancient ramparts of the city which can be seen a vestige above the roofs and where is also noted the staircase tower of the former courthouse.

• The tanners district

• After passing under the railway, you see on the left, the old slaughterhouse and in front an old tanner's house with the dryers under the roof turned into a loggia.

• The pond

• Further on is the "Petit Moulin". It was probably built at the same time as the pond ?? built in 1492 by Geoffroy Taveau lord of Lussac.
