Guided tour of Eaux-Bonnes from Empress Eugénie to the present day. Although the first building in Eaux-Bonnes referring to spa treatments dates back to the 16th century, the current establishment dates from 1830, as well as the nearby church and the government building (now the town hall). In the second half of the 19th century, the facades of the buildings were in a "Second Empire" style (ref. A Haussmann) with arched windows and red bricks. In 1868, about a hundred houses were to be found there. It was also at this time that many important figures stayed there: Empress Eugénie, the Duchess of Angoulême, the Duchess of Berry, Rosa Bonheur, Delacroix, Sarah Bernhard, etc.
