• The Convent of the Récollets, a begging order, with its chapel, was founded at the beginning of the 17th century. It becomes, at the beginning of XX ° century, the private institution "Joan of Arc".

• The barge or courpet is a flat-bottomed wooden boat that was used to transport wood in the Bordeaux region. This wood was used to make vine stakes and barrels. These boats were ephemeral: they were destroyed on their arrival at destination because they could not go up by the river or the land. This river traffic stopped at the beginning of the 20th century.

• This place is named after General Delmas, born in Argentat, who had a brilliant military career, particularly with Napoleon Bonaparte. He was killed in action in 1813 during the Battle of Leipzig.

• It is the oldest residence of Argentat: it dates from 1457. We notice several coats of arms of different families, as well as several different architectural styles.

• Saint Peter's Church

• The early church was built around the 9th or 10th century on the highest point of the city. Unfortunately, nothing remains of this Romanesque church that was destroyed during the Hundred Years War. Another church was built and then destroyed again. The present church, the third one, was built in the nineteenth century. It is neo-Gothic style. We notice beautiful recent windows and beautiful woodwork of the seventeenth century.
