Access

When you arrive in Bazas, make your way towards the town centre (at the roundabout on the left), continue straight ahead. Pass the fire station (on the right) and the Super U (on the left). Then continue straight ahead to the car park and the courthouse on your right.

Itinerary

The walk starts outside the courthouse, then take the pedestrianised street (Rue Fondespan) to Place de la Cathedrale. Below the arches, on your right, you will find the covered market, as well as the municipal museum (by prior reservation only). Then pass below the arches outside the Tourist Office and turn on to the first street on the right and descend the path. You are on the Promenade de la Brèche. Continue towards the left. The walk ends with the wash house opposite you. Then take Rue A. De Pontac. Turn right on to a paved street leading down to Porte du Gisquet. (If reservation: cross Cours Maréchal Joffre, and walk up Rue M. Martin to the Apothicairerie. Walk back the opposite way and return to the gate). Continue and take Rue A. De Pontac to Place de la Cathedrale. Visit the cathedral. This is the end of the visit. For any queries, contact the Tourist Office.
