Tour vtc: Lake Nantua and plain of Saint-Martin-du-Fresne

Depart from the town of Nantua, latitude 46.1512674 (N 46° 9’ 5”), longitude 5.6039929 (E 5° 36’ 14”)

• The lake of Nantua

• Go back up rue Docteur Grezel towards the lake. At the roundabout, continue straight on the road along the lake. In the village of Port, always continue on the same street until the exit of the village.

• The plain of Saint-Martin-du-Fresne

• Carefully cross the D1084 and take the opposite direction Brion. Turn left towards the cemetery and continue on the same path in the plain.

• Saint-Martin-du-Fresne

• At the farm, turn left and go up to join the village. At the first stop, turn left, then at the second stop, turn right. Go down the main street for a few meters.

• The Terreaux Tower

• Turn right, impasse des Terreaux.
• To see: Tour des Terreaux, point of view on the plain.
• To resume the ride, turn around and continue down the main street.

• Highway A404

• Turn right, rue du Stade and then again right, rue du Château.
• At the stop, go down to the left. After the bridge, turn right, drive along the highway and pass over it. Continue on the same road to the intersection.

• The hamlet of La Rousse

• At the intersection, turn right towards the hamlet and cross the ford. In the hamlet, turn left after the picnic table and continue straight on, route de la Rousse.

• The canal-canal

• Take the path to the right before the ford, pass the wooden fence and follow the path pebbles.

• Brion

• At the end of the road, turn left to reach the hamlet of Molard. On the bridge, turn right. At the end of the village, go over the highway then continue on the same road to the entrance to the village of Port.

• Harbor

• Turn left into the housing estate, rue de la plaine. At the end of the street, turn right and continue straight on to the rue des prairies. Cross the D1084 and continue opposite, rue de l'Eglise. At the end of the street, turn right, rue du 11 Novembre.
• At the stop sign, turn left and go back to Nantua by the road along the lake.
