This massif is known for its magnificent pink granite peaks which can measure up to 900 metres high. The Col de Bavella pass, reaching 1,218 metres at its highest point, offers striking viewpoints of the impressive rock faces with jagged ridges. At the bottom, the Bavella forest mainly consists of pines and fir trees.

The Bavella massif offers a wide choice of sports activities: climbing, via ferrata (secure climbing path), hikes and canyoning in Solenzara waters.
