Ski resort in the town of Les Allues, Savoie, Méribel takes place within the area of the Three Valleys, one of the most famous ski areas in the world. It is at the heart of the Vanoise National Park, at 1450 meters above sea level to only thirty kilometers from Albertville.
The site was born in the late 1930s on the will of Peter Lindsay, a Scotsman seeking new recreation site dedicated to sports. After installing the first ski lift in 1938, Méribel station crew later of hotels and chalets to accommodate visitors from around the world. Only Savoyard resort bear the label Station classified of tourism, it attracts winter sports enthusiasts and mountain life, as much by the charm of its architecture and its quality infrastructure.

Méribel today consists of several districts located in different altitude levels: Méribel-Allues, Méribel Village, Méribel Center, Les Hauts-Méribel and Méribel-Mottaret. They each have different atmospheres, with traditional mountain architecture and more modern buildings.
On site you will enjoy a forty lifts serving sixty-four green, blue, red and black on 150 km. This station also 24.5 kilometers of cross country trails. After hosting some of the Olympic events in 1992 Albertville games, she has continued to expand, offering a wide range of activities both in winter and summer. It is possible to enjoy the 18 hole golf course, mountain bike trails or hiking, ice karting or to learn bowling, paragliding or rock climbing.
Méribel also has several leisure facilities with cinemas and casinos, and is part of the Chemins du Baroque with its charming church St. Michael and his altarpiece.
